Resort Overview

One of the defining features of SreeChithra Ayur Home is its location. Set along the banks of the Canoli Canal, the property is housed in a distinctive building constructed in the traditional Kerala architectural style known as Nalukkettu, which is unique in itself.

Inside, you’ll find well-equipped, airy rooms designed for a comfortable and restful stay. Amenities include Wi-Fi, television, hot water, and more. The clinic has just 16 rooms, allowing doctors and staff to know each guest personally and closely monitor their treatment progress.

There is no swimming pool. In classical therapeutic Ayurveda, water-based activities are often discouraged during oil-based treatments.

The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and family-oriented. It feels less like a hotel and more like being a guest of a respected lineage of physicians. Over the years, the clinic has hosted more than 20,000 guests from 65 countries. Medical Team & Treatments

The main strength of Ayur Home lies in its medical expertise.

Treatments are supervised by hereditary physicians from the Madhusudanan family, whose Ayurvedic lineage spans over 400 years across 15 generations.

Lead specialists hold formal degrees in Ayurvedic medicine (BAMS/MD) and are highly skilled in pulse diagnosis and the treatment of complex conditions.

Therapists are trained within the family’s own school, ensuring that massage techniques and procedures are performed authentically, preserving knowledge passed down through generations.

Treatments are conducted twice daily, with a total duration of approximately 2–2.5 hours per day.

Wellness Programs

SreeChithra offers a wide range of programs, from general wellness to targeted treatments for specific conditions such as herniated discs, arthritis, paralysis, sports injuries, skin disorders (including psoriasis), chronic fatigue, migraines, and more. All treatments are carried out under the supervision of experienced doctors and tailored to each guest’s individual needs and preferences.

Yoga & Meditation

Morning yoga sessions are held six days a week and are included in all treatment programs.

The cuisine is strictly vegetarian.

Meals are prepared individually for each guest. The menu is prescribed by a doctor based on your dosha and current health condition.

Ingredients are sourced from the clinic’s own garden as well as fresh local farms. The dishes are simple, easy to digest, and richly aromatic thanks to natural spices.
