Malika Ayurveda Beach Resort 3* is an Ayurvedic retreat in Kerala, opened in 2019 on the site of the former Blooming Bay hotel. The resort’s Ayurvedic center is led by the experienced Dr. Binod Sidney.

Resort Overview

Malika Ayurveda Resort is located in Varkala, near the wide sandy Aaliyirakkam Beach, perched on a hilltop with stunning views of the Arabian Sea. It combines high-quality Ayurvedic treatment with a truly picturesque setting. The spacious, lush green grounds, relaxing lounge areas, open-air restaurant, and gentle sea breeze all contribute to a comfortable and memorable stay.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. There is no swimming pool at Malika Ayurveda Beach Resort.

A mosque is located not far from the clinic, and prayers may occasionally be heard.

The resort has a total of 14 rooms across three categories.

Guests can choose between standalone cottages (set behind the main building) with garden views, or rooms in the main building (with second-floor rooms offering ocean views). All rooms are equipped with a kettle and tea set, as well as en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold water. Bathrooms include standard amenities such as towels, shampoo, shower gel, a dental kit, and more.

Medical Team & Treatments

The clinic employs two Ayurvedic doctors (Dr. Binod Sidney and Dr. Geethu), 20 therapists, and operates five treatment rooms.

Dr. Binod brings over 25 years of experience in Ayurvedic resorts and clinics across India. He spent much of his career as the chief physician at the renowned Travancore Heritage Resort, where he earned a reputation as a highly skilled and respected Ayurvedic doctor.

Ayurvedic treatments at Malika are conducted twice daily, with a total duration of approximately 2.5 hours per day.
